Sophia was playing around while we waited for preschool to start today.
Maya has been eating more solid foods now. She LOVED broccoli! Dinner for Maya tonight was broccoli and rice crispies. Yuck! But she was happy. :) Aunt Stephie and Molly came to visit today and Molly showed us her new trick! Her sippy cup was as big as she is. :)
There was this tiny caterpillar crawling by our front door. It wasn't until I took a digital macro photo that I even realized it had these "long" white hairs. It's funny what the camera can see clearly and our eyes can't!
Just for a size comparison, this is it next to my finger.
My sister got me these two vases in Israel years ago.
It was a big day for Sophia today! She started preschool!!! It was so cute how excited she was. I woke her up this morning and she said "We have to hurry. I can't be late for school!" Then she ate her entire breakfast, went potty, brushed her teeth, got dressed and let me do her hair...all without complaining! What a refreshing change! HA! Really, it was so sweet how eager she was. Here she is in front of the school gate. And right when we got out of the car. She had a fantastic time in school and can't wait until her next class on Thursday! Maya learned a new trick or two today. In addition, to drinking out of straw, she can do all sorts of things on the sit and spin.
Our friends Steve and Jenny got married this evening. Our friend Gina was holding Maya and the waiter sat cake right in front of her. Before anyone had a chance to move it, Maya dug in with both hands. I guess she's practicing for her 1st birthday! (Today she turned 9 months old.)
I couldn't pick just one photo of Sophia dancing. We loved watching her dance and I wanted to make sure I put enough photos in so I saved that memory of how sweet she was dancing. She danced all night long! Sometimes she was next to our table, other times she would find an open spot outside. Maya danced along on Daddy's lap and giggled and squealed as Sophia danced along. Since I'm always behind the camera, here are a few of me and my family. I couldn't figure out how to photoshop a tan onto me, so that I matched the rest of my family! HA! Jenny & Steve were so sweet and had a special gift for Sophia, a coloring book and crayons. Sophia colored a picture for Jenny and was so excited to give it to her! After a night of dancing, Sophia was exhausted!
I'm a wife to a wonderful husband and stay at home mom to four incredible kids. This is my second year doing a Project 365 blog. My first year was in 2007 and I took a photo of our 2 daughters every day for an entire year. Not only did I capture their changes over a year, but I also got our memories -- 365 days in a row. It is something that I cherish looking back at. I also started a 365 blog at the beginning of 2010, but our little surprise -- Baby #4 -- got me side tracked. :)
