Day 195

I am so, so excited to have my Canon SD630 back from repair. I love the digital macro setting, so I'm having fun using it again!

This is the "Sweet, Lovey Rolly Polly" that Sophia found today.


In her hand, just before she claimed it ferociously bit her. ;)

Then her sorrow when I told her she should put it back in the dirt. "It" being her "Sweet, Lovey Rolly Polly".




This is Maya at 5am, after a night of little sleep for Mommy. You can't tell in the photo, but she's making it known that she does not care what hour it is and she has every intention of being wide wake and playing in the dog food. *sigh*

Day 194

Sophia made a paper doll of herself in school today! Miss Cami hung them in the room for decoration, so I took a photo of Sophia's.

When I picked her up at school today, her little cheeks were sooo pink and rosy from playing.

Maya took a break from eating her mac & cheese to dance. :)

Day 193

We played games this afternoon. Quite nerve-wracking with all the little pieces and Maya around. I did a marble count at the beginning of Hungry Hippo...20 marbles. I wanted to make sure we didn't leave any behind for Maya to choke on. I did a marble count when we put it away...21 marbles. I'm not sure I'm comforted or bothered by the increase in marbles!

Maya is learning about french fries from Sophia, during our picnic at the duck pond.

Then sits it down, only to find this duck has no problems sneaking in to grab it!

Ugh, this photo is so washed out! Today was the first day of preschool! Sophia had Miss Cami as a teacher, who was also her teacher this summer.

I love this face Maya keeps making. We call it her smoochy face.

Day 189

Happy 7th Anniversary to Alberto and me! We went to the beach for just a little while this afternoon. It was really windy, so we didn't stay long. Maya spent the entire time under the towel. Sophia jumped in the edge of the ocean for a while.
