Day 76

Sophia picked me a rose...

I think Maya is outgrowing her swing. This is her latest *trick*. She keeps me on my toes!

Milk & Mouthwash in a wine glass. (Yuck!)

Just a drop of mouthwash...

Day 75

Our little Tinkerbell, Sophia, dressed up Maya like a baby Tinkerbell.

Sophia and I had a tea party lunch out back. We used her toy dishes and served real mac & cheese and tea in them. She had so much fun using them for real. Who knew that was the secret to getting her to eat!!! :)

Day 73

I am NOT ready for Maya to crawl. Our house is NOT ready for Maya to crawl. Grandma thought it would be funny to teach Maya to crawl. I think the onery look on her face says it all. Thankfully, she isn't crawling yet!!! :)

This is what our day was all about...relocating our eBay inventory from Orange County to San Diego. We'll be reopening our store and getting all this back online over the next couple weeks. Sophia had fun climbing on the mounds of sheets.

Day 72

Brace yourself Mommy & Daddy...I'm figuring this world out and I'm going to get into EVERYTHING!

Well, little Miss Maya figured out how to pull herself to stand in her crib today. I love the look of delight and pride on her face in this photo. Goodness, she was just tickled that she figured this out! Project for today: Lower the crib to the bottom setting!

Not a crisp photo, but Sophia was so cute feeding Maya her peaches. I giggled every time she opened her own mouth as she put the spoon in Maya's mouth!

Day 71

We went out to dinner and the waitress gave Maya and Sophia each a bag of animal crackers. Since Maya can't eat them yet, we let her play with the bag...which she beat against the table until the crackers turned into crumbs. But, she was happy! :)

We told Sophia she had to eat 6 more bites of her chicken before she could have her animal crackers. You would have thought we told her to eat an entire chicken. Here she is counting the pieces to make sure we didn't try to trick her into eating more than six bites.

We left the desert at 6am to attempt to get through it before the motorhome starting heating up inside. Driving through the desert with no a/c is miserable to put it mildly. We managed to get through with it *only* getting to 93 degrees inside.
We drove by this truck and I caught a photo of it with our reflection in it. We're at the very left side of the tank.

I couldn't adjust this image well enough, without it looking adjusted. I took a picture of this mountain because it was really cool how it went from black to white. The contrast was actually more dramatic in person. The desert is not really this green, or even dark brown, but it was the best I could do to fix the contrast on the mountain. :)

Day 70

Sunrise in the desert.
Sunset in the desert.

Sophia was blowing me a Mother's Day kiss. :)

Maya loved to keep cool in the kiddy pool we brought along.
