Day 321

Sophia dressed herself today. She picked out Maya's dress (she has a matching one) thinking it was hers. When she insisted that it really was her size, I made her put pants on underneath. Here she is getting ready to pan for gold with Daddy.


Maya found the wait for gold panning to be boring. ;)


Here's our hope for retirement (HA!) a $5 bag of dirt that will give us some gold from Alaska.



We're RICH! Sophia and Daddy find the first gold flake...I mean, gold nugget. ;)


Here's our complete find. It was lots of fun for $5! We're going to take the gold pan to Yosemite in March and try to find some more!

Sophia is "working" on the box, which apparently needs dozens of pieces of tape. :) Meanwhile, Maya grabbed some of Sophia's craft pieces and snuck away to check them out with no one "looking".

My never ending quest to photograph Sophia...


Maya loved peanut butter as a dip for her bananas and apples. It also made for a good face cream and hair gel.

Day 317

Maya's "So Pretty!" smile.

Ahhhh, so this is what happens when Daddy's in charge?!? ;) Sophia decided that she needed to "feed" the plants with mud...because "mud had nutrients that will help the plants grow".

Day 316

We made cookies today and Maya "helped" for the first time. Sophia is showing her how to crack an egg.


Then Sophia shows her how important it is to lick the mixer and spatula afterwards. Sophia made sure to tell Maya that *she* gets the bigger one to lick, after all, she is the bigger sister. ;)
