Day 89

Same picture as below, but this is the final version I will be submitting to the city. I actually like it in print a lot better than online for some reason.

Flowers from our garden...

Anaheim is having a photo contest "History in the Making". It has to be taken within the city, within the month of May. I took this photo of Sophia at one of our new libraries, figuring she is reading/learning and will grow up to be part of history. Cheesy, I know, but it's all I could think of. I'm not thrilled with the way the photo came out, but Sophia was such a good girl posing for it, that I'm going to enter it anyway.

I left Maya in the middle of the family room floor for ONE minute. I come back and she's at the sofa and trying to stand! Oh my!

Day 88

Today was our friend, Kenny's birthday. He was one of Alberto's best friends for over 20 years. Four years ago, this weekend, Kenny and his son, Nathan, died in a car accident along the 91 freeway. This photo was taken a couple weeks ago, when we were driving by the site that they passed away.

Sophia found this gigantic grasshopper out back. It was pretty creepy editing this photo with a huge grasshopper staring at me on my monitor. Ick!

I finally took Liberty to get his hair cut, after the hair cutting disaster I caused a few weeks ago. Doesn't he look pretty? :)
Sophia was playing in Maya's walker.

And Maya was asleep in the swing again.

Day 87

These nasty little things eat my gerber daisys. :(

Sophia could spend the entire day on our playset.

Maya was tearing apart Pop-Pop's flower garden before bed. :)

Day 84

Last night, our neighbor let me use their baby sleep positioner, after I mentioned Maya had been rolling to her belly while sleeping. With it, she slept on her back all night, although she did protest a bit. This morning, I put her down for her early morning nap in the sleep positioner. I heard a series of loud grunts, so I went in to check on her. Here I found her, with a sweet, yet defiant twinkle in her eyes...on her belly, still wedged in between the sleep positioners. :)

Sophia wanted to feed Maya "All By Herself". This is what happens when a three year old feeds a baby unattended. :)
