Day 244

Mermaids, Pirates and Treasure Galore...Come and Celebrate as Sophia Turns FOUR!!! That was the theme for Sophia's birthday party today.

Happy 4th Birthday Sophia! She woke up this morning and the first thing she said was "I'm FOUR today!" Daddy and Sophia put together her big girl bike and she took it for a ride.

Aunt Stephie put together her pirate ship and Ariel treasure map cake.

We fished for a treasure map. Again, using Aunt Stephie's artistic abilities, we had fish, seahorse, crabs, seaweed, boots and a treasure map to catch. Sophia caught the map and the kids set off to find the treasure.


It was a good thing Amber was there to help, because I think I made the map a little to complicated for 4 year olds!

Maya grabbed for pinata candy. She took off crawling once she got this piece in her hands.


We need to burn off all the sugar!


The babies work together to get into Sophia's presents. :)

Day 243

Sophia's preschool class sang her Happy Birthday today. They have a pretend cake and light candles for the birthday kid to blow out. :)


We gave Sophia her presents a day early...her big girl Princess bike was the main gift. She also asked for a baby size cake, so we had that for her today also. Maya enjoyed digging in as well.

Alberto had the chance to meet Norm Abrams (from This Old House?) and get him to sign a piece of wood. :)

Day 242

Sophia decorated the mirror she got for her birthday. The glitter glue was definitely her favorite part, but the photo doesn't show how much is actually on it!!!



Poor baby is getting teeth. :(

Day 241

Sophia was Princess Belle, Maya was a ladybug and Molly was a fluffy pink princess. No one would pose for the photos. :)



Sophia had a Halloween party at school and got to wear her costume for the day.

Day 240

Alberto's coworker, Megan, and her dad (a former fire chief) gave Alberto a fire helmet with a personalized name plate. The 46 is for the congressional district that Alberto's office represents. He is just so tickled by this gift and would probably wear it 24/7 if it wasn't so heavy!!! :)

So, to make my husband smile, here is his family of firefighters...
