Day 61

This is how Maya's hair was when she woke up this morning! There isn't a pony tail in there.

We wemt roller skating with cousins in the evening. Daddy met us there after work. He used to go to this same place as a kid.

Day 60

We had a fun afternoon in the backyard today! Sophia played in her pool. I picked strawberries. Maya hung out in her walker. Liberty pranced around all of us.

We tossed the strawberries in the pool to wash them off so Sophia could eat them. I thought this looked really neat floating in the water.

Liberty stole a strawberry and Sophia got so mad!!!

I held the hose next to Maya so she could touch the water. She would cup her hand over it and it would spray everywhere. She had a great time!

Sophia was twirling around in the pool.

We also picked lemons to make lemonade. I found these 4 that had grown all together.

Day 59

Watch out world! Maya has figured out she can get into things by running around in her walker. She managed to clear off the lower half of the fridge this afternoon. (Her welts from her reaction to the amoxicillan are almost gone.)

Sophia has been trying to teach Liberty how to do a "high five". This was the closest he came to listening.

We're not sure what happened to our grass in the 5 days we were gone, but it looked like it hadn't been cut in weeks. I think I have the sprinklers running to frequently! This is the yard after Alberto cut half.

Day 58

A friend of ours works for the International Republican Institute in DC, heading their efforts to introduce democracy and freedom in Belarus. Her international office is in Lithuania. Knowing I was 1/4 Lithuanian, she brought me a box of chocolates back from her latest trip. It was perfect timing, as we were getting ready to head to see my Pop-Pop. Both his parents were immigrants from Lithuania, so it was so special to be able to share these chocolates with him!

Maya had a reaction to her Amoxicillan and was covered in red welts. :(
My sleeping girls...

This isn't a crisp picture, but I thought it was so funny. My dad and Pop-Pop both feel asleep on the couch and were sitting like mirror images of each other. Like father, like son...

Day 57

My photo group's challenge this week is "Food". It was great timing for that idea!

Sophia ate crawfish for the first time. Yummy!

Sophia was teaching Maya all about crawfish. :)

Day 56

Ahhhh, practically a family tradition...pigging out on ice cream. It was a joy for me to see Sophia eating ice cream with my Pop-Pop!

What does a 3 year old and a 91 year old have in common? They like to sneak a taste of the cake when no one else is looking!

Maya fell asleep on top of Uncle Philip. It's hard to see, but Aunt Crystal is sleeping under all those blankets!
