Saturday, March 24th.
This is probably my favorite photo from our trip. In the morning we walked to Mirror Lake...
Later in the afternoon, we walked to Yosemite Chapel...
This is the view of Half Dome during our walk to the chapel. Our camp ground was close to the base of Half Dome...
This was from our walk to Mirror Lake. Alberto was having fun walking on fallen down trees, so he found an easy one he could help Sophia walk on. It looks high, but was only about a foot off the ground...
Our little snow bunny! It was SO COLD in the morning. Maya wasn't too impressed, but looked so cute!
Sophia is following Mommy and developing a photo habit! I thought this photo was funny, because Maya's eyes were closed for Sophia's photo (which is how I always look when my photo is taken).
Yum...cousin Molly looks tasty. Maybe I can take a bite...
Or take a lick...
Molly was quite the trooper going on such a big camping trip at just 7 weeks old!

Day 19
Friday, March 23rd
This is was taken at the start of the road that leads up to Yosemite. The area is a bunch of green rolling hills and looks so peaceful. We actually just pulled into a turnout to let other cars pass, so I was so pleased this photo turned out the way it did!
Sophia got to play in the snow for the first time ever!!! She loved it and couldn't believe how cold it was!
Daddy and Sophia in the snow...
A view of Bridalveil Falls from the road into Yosemite...
Maya all bundled up for bed. The motorhome was packed with all of us, so she slept in the bouncy seat next to our bed.
Sophia tried to make a snow angel, but wasn't dressed in snow gear, so she wouldn't lay all the way down because it was so cold!

Day 16
Well, here's a summary of the last hour in our house...
I'm cooking dinner.
Here's the salted asparagus...
And the mushrooms for our steak...
It started to rain so Sophia and I ran outside.
This is the tree in our front yard. I'm not sure if the picture is big enough on the blog to see the raindrops though...
Here are the rain drops on Sophia's raincoat...
It really wasn't raining hard, but the only way I could coax Sophia outside (and therefore get her photo for the day) was to tell her she could wear her raincoat. :) We don't get a lot of rain here, so it was a real treat for her!
Maya slept soundly in her swing, while all of this went on...
And I have no photo at the moment, but just wanted to say Congrats to Alberto for completing the CIO program at National Defense University. Sophia, Maya and I are very proud of him!

Day 15
Trying again for Day 15, since the photos weren't showing up for some people.
My photo group's challenge of the week is: Textures. I had a great time today trying to get as many textures as I could think of! Here are a few....
Broccoli...Crisp and leafy...
Hamburger fat while frying ;)
Scalding, bubbling hot!
Prickly Cactus...
Delicate Flower...
Maya...Soft & "Fluffy" :)
Sophia: "I WILL NOT SMILE"
And to make Alberto happy... He attended the first A380 landing in the United States at LAX today. The A380 is the largest passenger plane in the world and can hold up to 800 passengers. This is an AP photo, which as you can see Alberto altered a bit to point to himself. :)
