Day 314
We went to the Orange County Fairgrounds this morning. There was a gold mining show there, so we thought it would be fun to check it out. There are a bunch of places around here to mine for gold and other things and we'd like to take the girl's out to do that some time. We also stopped by the petting farm at the fairgrounds. I actually got them both to LOOK and SMILE at the same time!!! Woohoo!

Day 313
Maya kept opening the seat compartment on her bike, climbing in and then trying to wedge herself down into the hole. HA! She kept getting stuck.
Sophia was dancing silly and Maya just stood there staring at her. :)

Day 312
We went to Big Bear Mountain for the girl's 1st real trip to the snow! We went just a little ways off the main roads so we could find a nice quiet place to play. This was the road!
Maya reacted to the snow the same way she did to Santa. It was beautiful and warm today, so I don't think it was the cold that upset her. I just don't think she knew what to think.
We found a perfect place to play! Alberto made the first sled path.
Sophia LOVED sledding!!!
Maya took a nap on top of me, while I laid on the snowy hill. :)
Maya finally decided the snow was fun! She couldn't stop giggling at Sophia while she played.
Sophia helped make our snow family.
This was the view coming down the mountain to go home.

Sophia made some pretty snowflakes with glitter.
Meanwhile, Maya unloaded an entire package of baby wipes, including a dramatic expression as she pulled and pulled.

Yes, the Christmas tree is still up. Yes, the girls are wearing their Halloween costumes. I thought it was only appropriate to pose them in from of the tree to capture them memory. HA!
