Year 2, Week 4
We had a heat streak this week, so the girls spent a lot of time in their kiddie pool.

Year 2, Week 3
X marks the spot! We went to the beach and had a bbq for dinner, then watched the sun set. Sophia has a habit of wanting to bring home every stick, rock, or shell she ever finds, so we have to set some limits. When we tell her she can't bring something home, she finds the "perfect" spot to put it so that no one will ever find it. Today, she buried a shell and told us she was going to mark it with an X so we could find it next time we came to the beach. :)
Some friends of ours have 3 chickens and Sophia got such a kick out of holding one of them.
The girls and I had a tea party for lunch today. :)
I was calling Maya and she wouldn't answer or come to me, so I went looking. This is what I found in our front entry.
Surprise! It was really Maya! HA!

Year 2, Week 2
It was a pretty quiet week here, as we were catching up from our Yosemite trip.
We did have Sophia's field trip to a local High School's farm. Who knew there were high school farms in the heart of OC!?!? They had a bunch of animals and a produce field. The kids had a great time!

Year 2, Week 1
We spent the day at the park celebrating a cousin's first birthday.
Happy Easter!
The day after Easter, we left for a week in Yosemite.
Sophia jumps into Mirror Lake. Brrrrr!

Sophia completed her Junior Ranger program and was sworn in as a Junior Ranger. :)
All the kids as we walked through a meadow.
Alberto saw this tiny snake (about the size of a pencil) in the dried grass from 3 feet up on the board walk. We were all amazed that he actually saw it while we were walking.
It snowed the day we left for home, so we stopped to sled in a snow park.
